Alchemy Wellness Center came to fruition in 2005 after experiencing for many years the power of cleansing, bodywork, proper diet and nutrition, and a consistent yoga practice.  Alchemy's team of mother and daughter realize this extraordinary opportunity to educate our community and help bring awareness for greater health and happiness.

What is Alchemy?

Traditionally the word alchemy means for one to have the ability to change base metals into gold and silver. At Alchemy Wellness Center the term alchemy refers to the all encompassing ability to give people hope and facilitate positive healthy changes in their everyday lives.

Pat McLaughlin, a Registered Nurse, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Certified Colon Hydrotherapist graduated from St. Louis University in 1968.  Pat brings to Alchemy Wellness Center 38 years nursing experience in numerous modalities:  surgical intensive care, labor and delivery, home health nursing, adolescent psychiatric nursing, chemical dependency, case management, and served as the Director of the Epilepsy Foundation.  Pat was also instrumental in bringing Lamaze childbirth classes to Palm Beach County in which she instructed for 10 years. 

As a result of Pat's personal journey and research in alternative methods to deal with her various health issues, she achieved life changing benefits from colon hydrotherapy.  She chose to open a center that provides methods of detoxification and cleansing to assist others to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

 
Katie McLaughlin, Wellness Consultant, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, and yoga instructor first became involved in health and nutrition during her childhood years as a competitive tennis player. Katie continued her tennis career at the University of Louisville and then obtained her Masters in Business Administration.

Katie's previous tennis career and continuous yoga practice has facilitated a deeper understanding of the body from both a practical and holistic perspective. Katie's personal experience of addressing underlying health issues and nutritional deficiencies through the implementation of various cleansing techniques and holistic modalities was the pathway for her dynamic passion of educating others on holistic wellness, nutrition and the importance of cleansing. Katie's knowledge and continuous research creates an unparalleled environment for attaining each individual's ultimate goal of health and vitality. Katie is also the owner of K8 Wellness providing consulting and wellness protocols for individuals, professional organizations, and business executives.
