One's diet and nutrition is the most important factor in how we look and feel. Vibrant health and happiness begins with what we eat and how our body digests and absorbs these nutrients.
Our approach to health and vitality stems from a simplistic viewpoint: A healthy colon is essential to a healthy body. In order to maintain a healthy colon we promote the practice of enzyme nutritional therapy, probiotics, and nutrient dense foods in conjunction with colon hydrotherapy and exercise.
ENZYME NUTRITIONAL THERAPY
Mal-digestion leads to many health concerns. When foods are not broken down properly they become toxins in the body. Carbohydrates ferment, proteins putrefy and fats turn rancid all leading to the various imbalances you may be experiencing.
How does this relate to overall health?
When the foods we ingest are not broken down to the simple nutrients, the body does not have an ongoing supply of fuel or "building blocks" to maintain healthy cells, muscles and tissues. Also, poorly digested foods alter the pH of the body. Many biochemical reactions, including those that involve enzymes, energy production, and hormone receptor sites, are dependent on pH. Increased toxicity puts a greater demand on the liver, colon, kidneys, lungs, skin and ultimately the immune system. Once the body's defense mechanisms have been stressed or abused for a long time, it can no longer defend itself against disease.
Enzymes must be present before any chemical reaction can take place in our bodies. Even vitamins, minerals, and hormones cannot do their jobs without enzymes.
PROBIOTICS
Probiotics are health-enhancing bacteria that help replenish the microflora in your intestinal tract, helping your body to digest and absorb food, and promote good overall health. These friendly bacteria are essential to a wide range of bodily functions:
- Help white blood cells fight disease
|
- Control putrefactive bacteria in the intestines
|
- Provide important nutrients for building the blood
|
|
- Protect the intestinal mucosa
|
- Prevent diarrhea and constipation
|
- Contribute to bowel elimination
